When I saw the story on little Emily James, I was moved. Emily is not your typical move maker. At the age of 3, she made a selfless sacrifice to help someone else. She cut off 7″ of her hair to donate to someone else all because she did not want any kids to be sad that they have no hair.
Of course Emily's Mom and Dad helped her make an informed decision but that does not take away from the beauty of Emily's generosity and love. And FlyPress Films captured the story and have shared it with the world. Emily's kindness has not only helped make a wig for a child with cancer but she has touched the lives of millions without trying. She did not cut her hair for the attention or view counts. She did it for the simple reason that it would help someone else and she could. That is why she is a move maker, because her actions are an inspiration.
The hair Emily donated was through 360 Hair who are partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society. You can watch Emily's story below and to learn more about move maker Emily James, read the follow-up story written by Emily's mom Amy, here.
I wish Emily and her family nothing but the best for the future. I hope that any of you who see Emily's story will be inspired to also help someone else if you have the means to do so.
