In just about 24 hours I am headed to sunny California, where I will experience my first ever San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC)! This vacation has come at a perfect time and I plan to enjoy every minute of it.
Remember when I shared with you about the Best Transformers Cosplayer? SDCC will have tens of thousands of those kinds of cosplayers. I am not exaggerating. San Diego Comic Con is THE biggest comic and entertainment convention in not just the US but in the world. It's so huge that just getting tickets was a challenge.
Watch this clip from Big Bang Theory here. While technology has improved that you are not supposed to refresh anymore, the idea remains true. You're put in a queue randomly and you have to wait to until it is your turn to buy tickets. And if you are not lucky enough to get in to buy tickets within the first hour, chances of getting tickets at all drops significantly. As is, I was only able to buy tickets for Thursday and Sunday. I am volunteering on Saturday to get in for free. You have to wait in a queue to volunteer also. Attendance to the Con in any way, shape, or form is always in high demand. Does not matter if you are press, a volunteer, or a regular ticket holder. Thankfully though, I am going.
P.S. If you really want to know what's happening in the entertainment and comic world, follow Movie Trailer Reviews on Twitter and Instagram. Kriss is going to be updating those with what's been announced and what he's seen.
