This just made my Monday!! There are so many talented folks on the Internet today. One of those artistic geniuses is Scott Bradlee who has his own channel on YouTube. Scott has started a new series on his channel called, “Saturday Morning Slow Jams.” Saturday mornings are known for showing some great kid shows usually from 8am to noon. I cannot say I have watched any of the recent cartoons but in the 90's and early 2000's Saturday mornings rocked! There was X-men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Saved By the Bell, Tiny Toons, Power Rangers, Where is Carmen San Diego and sooo many more. Here's a link to a webpage that has compiled a table of the shows that aired on Saturday morning if you would like to reminisce.
Scott is taking the theme song to these shows and is reinventing them as 90's R&B songs. Skeptical? Check out the reimagined DuckTales Theme Song and be prepared for an amazing performance. Kudos to Scott, POW!GRL, Steve Sweat, Chip Thomas, and Adam Kubota for an AMAZING job.
DuckTales was a Saturday morning cartoon from Disney about the adventures of Huey, Dewey, & Louie and their rich great-uncle, Uncle Scrooge.
Here's the original version of the show's theme song:
Now see what Scott & company's have done. It is amazing!!!
